Hmmm, very dodgy conclusion. Needs correlated also against those who *stay* in unhappy marriages - could be the shitty marriage does stuff to your health that isn't alleviated by your subsequent situation.

Or that ill-health itself contributes to divorce (and/or remarriage prospects) i.e. unhealthy folks could more likely to split and less likely to attract another partner...

Or it could be poverty related.... divorced people tend to be poorer due to either no 2nd income or support payments (unless they remarry richer.....)
