Wow, the Green Party over there looks pretty crazy. Here, they are largely irrelevant because they have essentially no chance of being elected to anything beyond the smallest and least important local positions. Are they more powerful in the UK?

However they are looking to make major gains in places like France on the weekend. I wonder if their policies are Europe-wide or if Green manifestos vary markedly from country to country.

The actual answers to the science questions from all the parties make for very interesting (and in some cases, worrying) reading: http://www.layscience.net/node/581

Just how did you find a website selling "replica" mythical beast genitalia intended for human use!

More importantly, what would the medical name for this be...?

I can't get to them right now but I know of at least two other sites that do mythical beast genitalia. I'd love to be able to claim to be strange enough to enjoy such things but I don't go -quite- that far.

Jings! Thanks for that link re Greens - fascinating/scary stuff. They want to ban research on embryos? Really??

Interesting and sad to read about Pride/Trans as well, I'd not seen that anywhere else either. Cheers :)

Psychodrama, Surrealism, and the Archipelago of Weird

What a smug, insufferable, elitist. She embodies several of my hugest pet-hates.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice metaphor, though not for the reasons she states. I know a thing or two about islands that she glossed right over. Catch me IRL if you want to talk about this; I can't type on this thing.

TransLondon boycotts Pride 2009

Have I mentioned that I intensely dislike modern gay pride parades as they currently exist? This tokenistic attitude is why.
