If you're using GNU/Linux (or indeed one of the BSDs), you're probably OK using Chromium. It's supposed to be pre-alpha still, but I've been using it as my main browser for a week, and other than lack of Flash support I've had no problems with it.
If you're using a Mac, then CrossOver Chromium apparently works quite well...
