Is this related to the new "from the director of the nightmare before xmas" movie?

(I mean it's TIM BURTON! TIM BURTON! Do the public (IE us) have such short memories that we will remember the film but not the director!! actually don't answer that cos the answer is depressing)

Actually, Henry Selick directed Nightmare Before Christmas... which is why they're not naming Tim Burton. His name is on NBC since he wrote the story, but a lot of the visuals/animation/flavor of the movie actually came from Selick. Sadly, he's not often remembered/attributed as such.

You've just reminded me that I'm going to see Henry Selick (and Neil Gaiman) talk about Coraline before too long. Yaaaaay!

I had a go at the game, and found thirty seconds of loading Flash between sixty second bursts of game play to be so annoying that I gave up before the third level. Does it get less irritating?

It is: it's very flashy. There was a post about it on BoingBoing's gaming blog a couple of days ago.

I played it for 20 minutes yesterday, and it's a poor game. Looks great. But the gameplay isn't exceedingly ordinary.
