Neat, but this is very much the open source communal hivemind perspective, not the enterprisey hivemind perspective.

Microsoft certainly seems like a bit of a rival from inside IBM, but the GPL/SCO stuff is/was very much a side show. The core battle for me as an IBMer is DB2 vs SQL Server, Rational vs Visual Studio, Lotus vs Sharepoint, WebSphere vs IIS, etc.

Sharepoint and the Cloud need to attack Google, Active Directory should attack Novell, MS-SQL should go for My SQL, ILM ought to be directing from Redmond.
