You can find more info on my userinfo page - but this is just here to say that I'm very happy to be friended by anyone that wants to read me. I rarely post friends-only, and that only tends to be about things that mention work, so if I don't friend you back you're not actually missing much...

If you do friend me, this would be a good place to leave a comment introducing yourself, and letting me know how you found me!

I have lots of awesome friends - if you want to make a few more then take a look at here for Dreamwidth and here for Livejournal, add a few people, and leave comment so people can add you too.

The links posts come from my page at Delicious and are posted to DW and LJ via a web app which I wrote, and you can use yourself here.

A note to Livejournal users:
You can easily leave comments using OpenID - this allows you to "sign in" using your LJ id, and that way I can tell you're you!

A note on correcting people's grammar in the comments.

Official Spoiler Policy.

Hola! I'm Gab, based in London, not an airhostess although I think I might enjoy that for a day. Maybe less.
I found you through Rosamicula's LJ, whose writing I love.

You have an incredibly interesting journal.
It's a shame you don't post more about you though.

Hey Andrew, first found your journal three years ago, around the same time I found [livejournal.com profile] dfordoom and [livejournal.com profile] communicator, so I can't really tell who introduced whom. After a three-year hiatus, I now tend to visit and read irregularly, browsing through one or two months' worth of entries at time. Your journal's as enjoyable as always.

I wanted to thank you for the delicious feed, it's opened whole new worlds of information to me. I truly consider your account there one of the best finds of 2008.

Oh, and I know it's 20 days late, but is it possible you haven't seen this yet?

Happy holidays!!!

Aloha Andrew,
Since I'm constantly flitting over here to read you, I thought I might as well attach myself to your shockingly (and no doubt embarrassingly) large fan club. Mahalo for always giving us something good to read.

I can't honestly remember whose LJ I came from, but I'm liking the cut of your blog. (Might have been [livejournal.com profile] theweaselking, but that's a "might" and not a "was".) It's also possible we crossed paths in my rasftv.b5 days these many aeons ago, but that's also a big "might".

-- Steve's glad to make your virtual acquaintance, in any case.

Sorry - been reading you for a few days now but only just found this post. Here via [livejournal.com profile] rhythmaning and very much enjoying the commentary as well as the links. Thank you.

Hi, hi! I believe I located you through a comment you made on a post by communicator (http://communicator.livejournal.com/) on the subject of Bishop Williamson's scintillating writings, which was linked to by contentlove (http://contentlove.livejournal.com/). I thought I recognized your name from stumbling on your journal years ago, and skipped over here to check it out.

I don't post often, so you won't hurt my feelings in the slightest by not adding me. But thanks for all of the fascinating links! I'm having to drink extra coffee this morning after staying up late perusing them!

You may notice I have a more than passing resemblance with a fannish lj-er arguing with you yesterday.

Friending because I like links. And people who don't get defensive and freak the hell out when they are disagreed with.

Oi I just realized I never said how I came to land over here. I found you via Linkspam post of Rydra_wong's.

I find your thoughts interesting and the links quite thought provoking. I post everything FO because of past drama llama's but I've got you friended.

How do you do. Name's Sebastian. I've got no idea when I first noticed your journal, but various of our friends in common seem to link to you from time to time, and you post interesting stuff, so I thought I'd start reading regularly.

Got to you from theferrett, I like reading interesting things, and you post them! This seems to work out well for me in my self-centered universe!

Feel free to friend me or not, I don't really post on my journal anymore. Whichever you choose, the result will be approximately the same.

Andrew, I have come over from Dreamwidth, where you sent me the interesting reply about the robotic effectuator for efferent motor nerve impulses. I don't know how often I'll be coming over to LJ, but when I do I want to have you on my reading page. Best,

Dropped in via [livejournal.com profile] drjon m'self.

Am a lapsed Kibologist, occasional Subgenius, often-secular humanist, Codite martyr and also Insufficiently-Illuminated Bavarian expat studying in Oxon. Natural Science and SF geek, currently first-year CS/SoftEng undergrad after several abortive attempts at other studies. Enjoyed the latest Prodigy post immensely - I've only failed at music editing myself in the past, but might give it another go. Occasional Friends-only posting tends to mention instances of ye olde dramallama following me home and obstructing access to the floor, AKA destructive chaos/order imbalance. Am also on Facebook, but trying hard to not accept candy from strangers there after a recent privacy scare.

Hi, I'm a Certified Grumpy Old Geezer who's been associated with Science Fiction Fandom (especially the Fanzine/PaperNet aspect of it) for 50+ years and who discovered your LJ via Supergee's links.

(No need to *friend* back as long as you don't do much FriendsLock posting -- I haven't posted to my own LJ site in years, and got it only to avoid accidentally being Anonymous.)
