The bit about Obama and the election is pretty dodgy. Yes, rural voters very much vote Republican, but so do many suburban voters, and the surburbs are growing almost as fast as the cities.

One of my best friend's grandfather (in Edinburgh) has just been taken by Nigerian scammers to the tune of some 50,000+ pounds. My friend kept trying and trying to convince him he was being scammed, and finally had to go to the police herself and get them involved so they could convince him. They're still hounding him and he's had to get his number changed. Not pretty. =( There's still an incredible number of people who fall for these things.
