Disney says bon voyage to Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Shame, as I liked the second movie rather more than the first.

I think your VHS obit is a bit remature. The European market still has manufacturers and stock. Emtec in France and HHB here in the UK. The tapes are used for security cameras more than anything else now.

Maplins in Edinburgh are still carrying Emtect VHS stock
HHB still makes SVHS tapes for ADAT multi track audio recorders.

Yeah, the same story was on
El Reg
and I got the impression it was the last distributor of films-on-VHS that had stopped, rather than blanks.

I didn't see the second film, but the first one was marred badly by its Disneyishness, so maybe it's for the best that they've dropped them?

The second was better. If it had been the same as the first I'd not have cared about the series at all.

Good to know, thanks. Maybe I'll get round to catching up with the Silver Chair some time, then.
It was a better book, I think, too; to be fair to Disney/Walden Media, their subject matter in the first one
is
pretty cheesy to start with.
Dawntreader
was always my favourite, so I'd've been truly appalled if they got it badly wrong.
