Long week (including an 11 hour day on Wednesday) is now over, and I spent the evening largely tired and grumpy - although an episode of Alias with Ed helped significantly. Amusingly, I noticed that one of the hackers in the episode was played by Kevin Mitnick, who had to do the scene with a fake computer, as he was banned from using a real one at that point...

It is nuts that you link to takedown.com as being a biography for Kevin Mitnick. As far as I can tell takedown.com is by the self-serving author of a fictitious book and movie on Kevin. Why not link to a site that likely at least tries to be neutral like Wikipedia?

a) That sentence is the funniest one I've read all day.
b) Because the Wikipedia article on Mitnick was appalling at the time I wrote this post.

Regarding b), and takedown.com does not seem appaling to you? You think it is biographical?

What specifically is appalling about the Wikipedia article? Did you make a comment on the talk page?

Don't recall. I took a look at the time and wasn't grabbed by it. Didn't really care to take it further, and I _really_ can't be bothered participating in Wikipedia discussion pages.

Fair enough.

I checked out Freedom Downtime (http://www.freedomdowntime.com/) last night, freely downloadable. It is a docodrama about Kevin Mitnick that is very convincing that Takedown and a lot of the other information about Mitnick is mythical -- you know those scary hackers.
