Due to eating (a) noodles with weird food colouring and (b) beetroot I've been unable to go to the toilet in the last two days without the water either being orange or purple.

About 10 days ago. I had tuna/sweetcorn/mayo/pasta for the first time in about three years.

I like eating beetroot, in part for that reason. I am odd.

I have beetroot at home, waiting for me, in fact!

And I love beetroot largely for the flavour, but purple food kicks ass anyway.

I loved it when Heinz brought out Tomato Ketchup in different colours, that was great!

Beetroot is lovely - but strangely doesn't really do that to me. I must break down the pigment quite well. It's a different one to that which is in all other red/purple fruit veg.

Now, excess B vitamins turns your pee 'nuclear' luminous yellow/green - great fun!
