Phew - all working again

I uninstalled all of the various graphics drivers I seem to have managed to install, deleted any left over folders, and then reinstalled the bog-standard ATI ones.

And now it all works.

I _hate_ it when things don't work.  It's one of my biggest neuroses - I get very tense when things aren't doing what they're supposed to.

Did you try doing a System Restore? Doing that saved me last week, even though my last restore point was a month old and so I had to reinstall some things afterward.

I don't tend to use System Restore Points, for exactly that reason.

Personally, I think the whole driver model needs to be rethought - along with the way it uses the registry. But hey, that's mstly just me.

I'd like to replace the drivers of some cars, but things haven't worked out to that end.

And that I think is my whole problem with existence. Things would really run a lot smoother if everything worked how I thought it should.
