Some months ago I went to see Lawrence Lessig talk in Edinburgh.  While the content of the talk wasn't anything terribly new, the style was fantastic.

This talk builds on that style and is if anything, even better.  It's about the next generation of digital identity, which (to most people) isn't a fascinating subject, but it's absolutely magnetic, and uses technology to great effect.  Next time you see a bad powerpoint presentation, just think back to this and weep for how good they can be.

That was... quite impressive. I'm not sure it would work for all subjects, and it's not much use for the sort of presentation that doubles as a report; still a definite target to aim at.

I wonder if I could do that. I think it would have to be a subject about which I was very certain in my knowledge. I'll have to point some of the guys from work at this.

That was great - and I mean the content as well as the fromat (having seen Larry to death..)

know if this was pop music we'd soon be very sick of talks timed to the cadence of speech - and then they'd start putting them to hip hop beats and sampling the voice.....

have you seen the "video" that bob dylan did for subterranian homesick blues? well its just the same, except 1967, hes got a billboard for about every other word of the song, stands in an alleyway with a pile of them in his hands, discarding the most recent to reveal the next, pretty much staying in time with the song. its like, identical.
