Hmm. OK.

Whenever I'm visiting my journalist friend, we'll have fox news on at some point and just be appalled that they actively promote themselves as "balanced".

On the whole, I don't watch TV news. I read The Independent and The Economist, with occasional excerpts from The Guardian (on Thursdays - I get it for their Online section). I find that TV news is like TV science - boiled down for the general public.

9 times out of 10 I won't even bother with newspapers, but I did get Fridays Independant semi-regularly. It's rare that I'll watch tv at all.

Anyway, point being, my friend and I find it fairly amusing to rip the arse out of the US news and what they try to get away with. My friend is a court reporter. :-)

Boiled down, scraped up, reconstituted, preserved, transported back and from china several times in refrigerated storage, before finally being micrawaved, picked at, and shoved in the bin.
