Harry Potter (no spoilers)
Jul. 20th, 2005 10:32 pmFinished it. Was the best one so far, her writing style has improved vastly as she's made the transition from good short book (Azkaban) via rather padded longer books (Goblet and Phoenix) to good long book.
I managed to completely avoid spoilers for 5 days before today. And then, with 60 pages to go, I was walking past a bunch of chavs on the way home, one of whom saw what I was reading and shouted "Massive Spoiler" at me. Fortunately the ending still worked for me, and although I didn't cry it was rather moving.

Date: 2005-07-21 08:34 pm (UTC)How exactly do you discover to crush the....thign...with the side of a silver dagger, or to add one anti-clockwise stir every seven clockwise ones?
And on Sectum Sempra, or whatever it is, sectum is latin for carve/chop/cut/slice and so on, so you have a bit of a clue there :). It's strange that they don't teach everyone latin as well...
