Political Compass
Feb. 24th, 2005 08:44 pmAs polls seems to inspire responses, here's one you can put your results into.
Go to The Political Compass and take the test (about 5 minutes). Then come back and tell us how you did. I'm willing to bet most of you will fall into the negative scores on both axes, lord knows _I_ did.
[Poll #443720]
I scored:
Economic Left/Right: -1.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.97
And yes, I know it's not detailed enough, but LJ only allows twenty points on a scale...

I'm an extremist! I've become considerably more so in the past 4 years, given U.S. political events.

Pam#nts! I'm a bloody Discordian who scored 100% Rand on the old Moral Philosophy quizz! This is not right! I'm a bloody Libertarian, not a sodding Liberal! My only redemption is that I am allergic to yogurt and so can Fall no further. Right. I'm going to go off and do something fascist-anarchist to balance myself up.

I can't help noticing that almost all of the results fall into the left/libertarian quarter. Does this say merely something about the people youn mix with online or does it say more about the online population in general? Or both?

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his need is a fundamentally good idea."

Date: 2005-03-01 01:50 am (UTC)Political parties usually believe in, or are against, privatisation of services which are historically government owned. I usually disagree with both sides, as I believe that essential things (eg. water) should be government controlled but that other things (liquor outlets, airlines) don't belong in government ownership.
