Antivirus advice

Lilian was complaining that her computer was really slow.

So I uninstalled Norton Antivirus and installed AVG (who have recently upgraded their free edition to version 7).

Suddenly everything runs about 30% faster than the hard drive isn't going like mad.

Begone and download.

Ta for the heads up on the upgrade. Strange that the V6 upgrade dialogue doesn't tell you V7 is out or attempt to upgrade to it.

Norton really really sucks. It causes all kinds of compatibility problems as well as bogging your machine down in quicksand.
