I have a cold.

I've had it for about a week - 3 days of sore throat, 4 days of running nose.

So far I haven't had the shakes and the unholy combination of phenlyephedrine and paracetomol that is Lemsip Max has kept me going at work.

I was in for 6 hours on Saturday.

I was in for 2 hours on Sunday.

I will be in this upcoming Saturday and almost certainly the Sunday as well.

I hope this cold goes away.

This has been your Andrew Update.

Blergh, snuffle, snuffle, ick.

Sounds like it's from his phlegmish period.

You know that the best cure for colds is rest. Otherwise you end up prolonging it and then passing it onto your cow-orkers who then take time off instead making your post-cold life a living hell as you end up picking up *their* work. I know a Doctor who would prescribe bed-rest and HL2 for a week :-)

Since I've taken up running I rarely get colds. I sort of get short lived sniffles that last about a day with the occasional sore throat. The only time I look like I'm going to get anything serious is when I get the sniffles and go out on a weekend bender. Even then I just have to stop drinking and it fades into the background.

I also find that running whilst I have a cold tends to get rid of the cold quick smartish.

Running: May contain vitamin C.
