Date: 2004-08-04 01:21 am (UTC)2) Thought "I'll check the minimum spec before I do."
3) Went "GAH, my PC is nearly 2 years old, not a hope in hell of that running."
4) Installed Quake 3 and went to shoot some zombies on that instead.

Date: 2004-08-04 04:55 am (UTC)My heartrate tends to be around 90 at rest, I think. When I'm running at the gym, my target is 155. When I've pushed myself, I've managed to get it up to 175... which was funny because I was sitting there trying to work out if I should be dead... (80% of your max heartrate is apparently the cardiovascular target... so I was trying to work out if 175*0.8>155 while running really really fast. I can't remember if I managed it, but medically, I should have died, I think. :)
Anyway, the point: heart rate of 120 isn't that fast.
And It's only Doom you poof. HL2's the one for pounding heartrates. (Oh, and now you've got a good PC, get Farcry!!!)

Date: 2004-08-05 01:03 am (UTC)Did a special atheletic training.
70-90 is normal healthy in rest.
90-125 is light stress.
125-170 is light to medium sport.
170 is optimum sport for a man of 30 who is fit.
over 170 better do a little less and get a bit fitter first.
175 sounds actually quite sporty and is ok, especially when you consider the acuracy of such devices.
