Change of Scene

On Friday I decided to try the Independent rather than The Guardian.

Today I decided to swap on a (semi)permanent basis.  I feel less talked-down-to and less like I'm being told off all the time.  I don't know whether it's going to stick, but somehow I feel like it's a positive step.

Yup, Indy is great. that's why I get it on a Sunday rather than the Guardian. Plus, the pictures are great :-) AND you can read it more easily on the bus (do we have the small version in benighted Scotland yet? I haven't noticed.)

I like the Indy. We only have one paper shop in town and I feel lucky if they have anything which isn't Sheep Dipping Weekly - but if I'm in civilisation I always go for the Indy.

Yeah, we have the small version. Which left me wondering why big versions even exist, as it was so much easier to read.

The Independent is, by far, the most civilised and least patronising newspaper I know of. If I buy a newspaper, it's that. Not that I buy a paper very often, of course..

And now it's small, which means I can read it without sprawling on the floor.

I stopped buying newspapers for a while, as broadsheets were annoying and tabloids are well, tabloids, so I quite like the new look Independent. I also think it's much less patronising than the Guardian.

I always used to get the indy when I was a commuter-sheep. I;d have loved the small versions - WAY too snesible for them to hav done years ago, clearly
