The IMDB has a piece on a major police swoop today:

It noted that the MPAA's Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT), accompanied by police, raided an address in North London where they seized over 250,000 DVDs valued at about $6.5 million.

Divind A by B gives me the figure of $26 per DVD. Now, they don't sell for more than about $8 off of the back of a lorry, and I don't believe that many DVDs are that expensive.

Perhaps they are using the grossly-inflated MSRP that no one sells anything for?

No doubt they will be basing their calculations on 'lost profit' to the industry rather than 'street value'.
