Date: 2026-06-28 03:01 pm (UTC)I am more bothered by whether something is accurate.
But in general I find the effect of getting AI to rewrite everything so that it sounds like everything else annoying. But not so annoying that if it contains useful information that's been checked by someone that I would just write it off.

Date: 2026-06-28 03:03 pm (UTC)That’s probably mostly how I feel, though I’d add that I require more convincing I’d the accuracy of the content as soon as I realise that something is AI-written. (To be clear, I use AI a lot, just not to do my own writing.)

Date: 2026-06-28 03:10 pm (UTC)Oh yes. After all if a person wrote it then they have at least seen the facts and figures in it, whereas with an AI written piece they might not have.
Edit: Generally, if people have a series of bullet points they want to turn into an essay, but lack the time/energy/inclination for expanding them themselves then I'd rather they just shared the bullet points.

Searching for AI poisoning found this from January:
https://www.theregister.com/software/2026/01/11/ai-insiders-seek-to-poison-the-data-that-feeds-them/4349990
which is subversive but not a crime ring.
