Interview with Maggie Kang, the writer director of KPop Demon Hunters.

It's her first movie. She'd been doing storyboards, and we get to learn about storyboard culture-- storyboarders are loud and funny and she learned how to do comedy from being in the group.

She talks about her father, the cinephile, and how unexpected the success of the movie and the songs has been. She made it for her teenage self, and she was a KPop fan. How much good art was made for the artists' teenage self?

And the pleasure of getting some traditional Korean culture on the screen.

Also, she talks about how she wanted female superheroes to be silly and make ridiculous faces as well as being superheroes. I'm sure she's got her own plans, but I bet she could make a good Ghostbusters movie.
