First time cycling in to school this year!

A lovely friend gave us the bike 5 years ago, and it's finally getting properly used!

(She was resistant to moving up bike sizes, and was convinced it was a boy's bike until I showed her a picture of batgirl.)

Well done Sophia!

To me, it looks like the saddle and handlebars need go up quite a bit. A bady adjusted bike makes bodies hurt, even kids. If it is like with adults, she should only JUST be able to touch the ground with her feet and she is also possibly too long in the body already for that frame.

I gave myself some issue that took a long time to fix on a badly adjusted bike, that is why I am commenting. If you have a good (preferably indie) bike shop in your area it would be well worth taking Sophia plus bike to see what they say.

I came here to say that, the correct saddle height makes pedaling so much easier.
