Today the sun rose at 8:42 and set at 15:40.

I am looking forward to waking up and, at least, arriving home in the light.

That'll be the 2nd of March (07:00-17:50)

Sunrise 8:02, sunset 16:21. Happy sunreturn.

Was 08:21 and 15:50 for me.

As a morning person, I'm still sulking because sunrise will not get earlier until 5th Jan*, even as sunset creeps later in the meantime.

I like 16 hour daylight days, ideally with sunrise no earlier than 5, so May and July, basically. Sigh.

* In fact, it gets a few minutes later over the next few days!

I remember standing in front of the kitchen window and watching the sun appear at 9:00 when I was in Aberdeen.

The joyous part of this year - when the weather isn't completely disgusting, anyway - is the noticable lengthening of the days in the evenings, I start work at 7 now generally, so March 2nd will be a MIRACULOUS day.

Somehow one feels so much more able to get stuff DONE when it's not so dark!

Oh yeah. I'm just happier when it's lighter out. Definitely have more energy.
