Date: 2024-11-21 08:02 pm (UTC)Those "death stairs" look a lot like the stairs between the first and second floor of our house. A little bit of a tighter spiral, but not at all unusual for a Dutch house.
Death Stairs
Date: 2024-11-22 07:06 pm (UTC)When we were vacationing in Copenhagen recently, we got a hotel room with a "loft" so that my wife could go read while I was still sleeping in the morning.
We got there, only to find that you accessed the loft via the alternating left/right version of the death stairs that show up several times in that post. We agreed that neither of us was even remotely comfortable with her trying to use them early in the morning, when things were still dim and she was tired.
(And that Mistake Waltz video is brilliant -- thanks!)
