I was wondering if they controlled for "people wearing speedos" but apparently that's not a plausible confounder for what they actually measured :)

Hmmm.... Lots of confounding factors and cause-and-effect chains to disentangle if we're going to extend this to humans.

Among other things, women dress to expose more skin when ovulating.
