So loads of projects which have been gathering dust for years. Such as the Dalry bridge, or Meadows to Canal link. Saying 'We're going to get round to doing all this stuff we've been planning and promising for a decade, HONEST THIS TIME FOR REAL' is just bullshit.
This is the same council that ripped out the Lanark road cycle lane only a few months ago, no?

Date: 2021-10-17 06:48 pm (UTC)They are bedroom slippers with thickish soles. No structure, no arch support, they spread out and don't cushion pavement strike. Probably good for severe bunion sufferers. I have not yet found a way to wash them, so threw out the ones I had actually worn out of the house and around town a bit, because they reeked irremediably. They're very flexible and I didn't like driving in them, because the pedal feel was too soft---I'm used to flexing my ankle there and I had to really shove my foot in consciously for consistent pedal operation. The material is lightweight but seems not to breathe well.
They are okay for what I do with them now (quick in-and-out onto the deck or patio, take the trash down the drive), but they are slippers. I think they're the new toe shoes. For durable and attractive wool shoes, go for felted German clogs like Giesswein!
