Date: 2021-04-06 12:13 pm (UTC)Ideally as a manager you want a team where everybody is meeting expectations or exceeding them, and being forced to declare some people underperforming is so clearly counterproductive to me!
"The idea is to avoid “grade inflation” and force managers to have honest conversations with people who are sub-par." Like yes, not having those awkward conversations is a management failure. But I don't think stacked ranking with an imposed percentage of "who must be bad" is a solution to that problem!
