I have stopped using angry and sad icons for everyone's posts, regardless of whether a group or not. I'm making the wowee face do a lot of and-other-duties-as-required work.

Gosh. That's not how anyone I know uses Facebook!

Yes. I feel disneyfication coming on. This means posts can't invite a sad or angry icon, or they will get downgraded and shown to fewer people. So posts about Sophia actually being ill get shown to fewer people, but posts recast to invite lovey face icons will get shown to more. This is very "we have always been at war with Oceania" to me.

I hope the changes are just for Pages and Groups and not for general usage.
