The mango tree insult in the idiomatic phrases link reminded me of an insult I saw on a similar list years ago, attributed to South Africa: “Your mother shags for bricks to build your sister's brothel!“

What I particularly like about it is how it manages to pack three insults into so few words. Reminiscent of the famous sledge response by Eddo Brandes: “Why are you so fat?” / “Because every time I fuck your wife she gives me a biscuit.”

I'm all in favour of Vote Leave running the government. Everyone can see what they are up to, they won't be able to cry "betrayal" or "remoaner." If they fail to leave (which I still think is about 50:50, that's on them. If they leave in a disorderly fashion and we have food riots then that's also on them.


I put the chances of one of the current cabinet swinging from a lampost in Whitehall by the end of 2020 at a non-trivial 1%.
