The employers' union's response to the European Court of Justice's ruling is comedically bad.

And filling out time sheets is hateful? Personally I'm happy with the hours I work though, so maybe if I were working twice as much with no corresponding pay increase I'd be sad.

Timesheets that demand an every-15-minute block update are hateful. Timesheets that say "I worked 10:00-14:00 & 17:00-21:00 today" are rather less so.

I know a LOT of people who feel pressured to work late and at weekends because of our stupid workloads, and I spend a fair bit of time reminding them that overworking will not solve the problem (because the bosses will never see the capacity problem if we solve it at the expense of our free time).
