Now 3 million. I know it probably won't make any difference, but gosh that's a lot.

I'm not sure that the Lorraine Kelly playing a character is entirely the ratio decidendi of the case. I think it's more that she's at work so doesn't get an entirely free hand at being the private Lorraine Kelly.

Yeah, the playing a character is only apparently relevant to assert that she's a performer. The bit the headline doesn't make clear is that she doesn't have to pay the tax because she's a freelancer/self-employed because she got neither a pension nor holiday pay and worked for more than one station.

I find it gobsmacking that an article about Tony Blair and New Labour in government could somehow ignore both devolution and PFI.

Tony Blair: I feel like I just read an article pointing out that Hitler favored public sanitation and invented the Volkswagen.

Independence of MPs: Mixed feelings here. On the one hand, yes they should have the right to rebel. On the other, if MPs are totally independent creatures, that denies the voters any right to choose the government, since they don't know what their MP will do. (As it is, people say "I voted for May/Corbyn as PM," which legally is nonsense, but in practice that's what they're doing.) If you're going to stand under a party label, that implies some level of commitment, and we'd best define exactly what that level is.

I really really love the Wolf as Cashier. I wish I'd been a wolf when I was a cashier. Oooooh yes.
