Oh gosh. That's um... something. But yeah, that really makes sense from the EU side if the UK isn't willing to commit to anything else.

Oh yes, I didn't mean it solved anything, but it was interesting they did try to get a consensus on whether they'd offer an extension: I'd thought they might just say, "we need a unanimous vote to agree an extension and if the UK aren't able to get one, then sorry."

Although, I guess parliament may be more likely to agree to an extension than a revocation. I don't know why parliament is being so passive, I'm sure people have rebelled over much less in the past, now I'm getting rapidly more pessimistic parliament will manage to avoid no deal at all :( But kicking the can further seems more likely than anything else if they've let it go this far :(
