The Trump stuff may just be troop rallying for the mid terms, but it's evil enough as a way of thinking even if it is just that- it assumes that people will shout 'huzzah' to the idea of a small genocide. :o(

The Japanese hometown tax is brilliant. BC doesn't do it's major taxes or education that way, but most of the children of small towns end up in Vancouver for their earning years. However, the way it is described, there is enough wiggle room in the legalese to allow for minimal gaming of the system, which entertains a lot of people, while still allowing most of the actual revenue to end up in the smaller towns to good purpose. It is elegantly random hippy close-enough-ness.
