“Device that helps obese diabetics lose weight should be rolled out across NHS”

According to that article, the researchers followed up 17 of their initial 50 patients for 6 months, and found that only 11 of them managed to stay at their lower weight for even that long. And then they said “This first NHS Endobarrier service demonstrates that Endobarrier therapy is highly effective”!

Not only that: “all the patients were encouraged to follow a healthy diet and take exercise. [...] Patients [...] said they had more energy, were more able to exercise and had improved wellbeing.” No kidding.

What a shame that there are only three directors in Hollywood; they must feel terribly overworked.

It's making me actively not want to watch 9 *or 8*.

JJ Abrams is awful, and his innumeracy didn't QUITE manage to ruin 7 despite his best efforts but OH MAN it was so clear he was trying his best to make that movie shitty in the same way all other JJ Abrams movies have been shitty.

yes, it is concerning given that Stars War VII seemed good off of the premise of its deviation from the obvious step-up established repeating the first movies with a few somewhat obvious twists.
