I shouldn't be surprised: it seems people will put just about any savory dish in a Yorkshire pudding, and other people will put chicken tikka on all sorts of things.

You've not seen the chicken tikka lasagne then?

I'm not sure about that particular implementation (I'm vegetarian, for a start, plus any chicken that cheap probably wasn't very happy chicken) but I'd happily eat curry with Yorkshire Pudding.

Yeah, it depends whether inside the box is one globule or a pudding and a sachet of curry that you heat separately and then combine.

The cooking instructions have the Yorkshire heated in the oven while the filling is microwaved or simmered on the hob.

And only a quid!

That all sounds OK, and if it were a veg curry I'd be happy to eat it.

Dunno. I'm failing to see what's _so_ bad about this. I think having lived on unbuttered bread (5p a loaf!) and beans straight from the tin (3p per tin!) because that's all I could afford puts a different perspective on it. I can imagine seeing that and thinking of it as a real, tasty luxury.

Being a student was Good Times. Terrible food but Good Times :)

Nowt wrong wi that.

I suspect that (as a non-Yorkshireman?) you're unfamiliar with the infinite versatility of the yorkshire pud. It makes a great dessert course, you know.

The other day I wanted pie and I had no pie, so I had Ikea chicken meatballs stuffed into individual mini Yorkshire puddings (Aunt Bessie's) with the cream sauce. It was magnificent. The only problem with your picture is that it comes from Iceland and it would be better from Heron.
