Date: 2014-06-19 11:48 am (UTC)I am totally going to set myself up as an evolutionary psychologist. My first theory will be that the reason men always fall asleep after sex is because women exude special totally undetectable soporific chemicals so they can go shag MOAR MEN while sleepyboy is sleeping. This is my totally scientific reason for having multiple male partners and nobody can challenge it.

Date: 2014-06-19 12:13 pm (UTC)Looking under "participants" they have controlled for race and class, but not for age. I am willing to lay down money they did what a LOT of these studies do, and recruited students. The life stage when there are the highest gender differences is late teens/early 20s when one is most desperate to conform. They have used the 1993 16PF questionnaire, which is widely criticised for being easily overinterpreted.
But you wanted evidence, so:
http://www.apa.org/research/action/difference.aspx (especially last paragraph of first section)
http://www.jpehs.co.uk/2013/12/03/brain-scans-prove-there-is-no-difference-between-male-and-female-brains/ (and I would totally recommend the book this one refers to as well - Cordelia Fine's Delusions of Gender)
And that's without even going too much into the fact that if there ARE gender differences between personalities and capabilities it's almost certainly down to social conditioning and neuroplasticity - http://www.theguardian.com/science/2013/dec/07/brain-science-ditch-male-female-cliche

The article says that they've found differences in personality. At no point do they say "Because of the genes". They aren't evo-psych people (they use them to illustrate one end of the spectrum).
Personally, I believe that there are tendencies in men and women - but anyone who judges an individual based solely on their gender is ridiculous, because there are large numbers of people who don't fit into any bucket you try and stuff them into.
