A message to developers of really big games

If you _are_ going to insist on downloading/patching your own game, and it's gigabytes in size, then for goodness sake make it possible to use peer-to-peer downloading.

I am currently downloading SW:TOR for me and Julie and it's downloading 13GB for each of us (so far - probably more to come) rather than downloading it for one of us and spreading the load.

Weird.

Something worth noting for LotRO is that you can pick up the entire install folder and drop it on other machines.

It's also very good :)

The lotro client is free through steam and can be run completely independently of the steam client.

Steam offers a much more reliable method of downloading the core game.

You can log in to a steam installed version of lotro with a ordinary turbine account.
