My Eye Has Exploded

andrewduckerFor the last few days I have had sore eyes. And been blaming this on lack of sleep.
This morning I feel much more rested, and yet my eye was still sore, so I went into the bathroom and stared deeply into the mirror.
What I saw wasn't very reassuring:
So, emergency appointment time at the GP - I phoned at 8am precisely, and got an appointment at 10:10. Hopefully they will tell me it's a routine eye infection, and everything will be fine. Hopefully they _won't_ tell me "No, you can't fly to your father's 70th birthday tomorrow, or your eye will pop out in mid-flight and spray vitreous humour* all over the cabin.
In other news, the new Iain Banks is out today, but I shall be waiting for it to hit paperback before I download it, as I'm not paying £9.50 for a book, and it's not like I have a shortage of things to read.
*You can tell that my biology GCSE wasn't a complete waste, can't you?
