I've been pointed at that blog a couple of times, but am massively put off because it clearly comes with a huge amount of bias itself.

I'm not without some issues with it myself, but I don't like seeing the risks of pregnancy downplayed, it's only because of the rise of real medicine that mortality rates in childbirth have gone down. It's not unusual for animals in the wild to die giving birth or suffering from egg binding while in pain while in pain either. Sure, I'd like to see a more perfect blog that also acknowledges how a lot of docs are assholes too and problems with the medical profession on top of this stuff, but despite the lack of what I'd like to see here it's good enough for me for now. Maybe I'll find that wonderful OB or whatever for now that'll make something superior, but I don't think that blog I link to should be ignored, much less natural birth death and endangerment rates.
