Aye; I hat-tip when I link your stuff, but if I find something, have it open in a tab for ages (as I often do) and then link it after I've seen you've done so as well, it's not actually come via you, you've just linked it as well.

Exactly. And a hat-tip is nice, and it makes me happy, but it's not vital.

Aye. I do them for the the trio of reasons that I enjoy hat tips, thus guess others do, that quite a bit of my stuff comes from you and a few others (it's variable based on how busy I am at work and with gaming), and because just as I discovered you and other interesting people I read through people hat-tipping stuff they got from you, I like to make it so that the people that read me can find you and add you in the same way.

But all three of those are reasons based on the aggregate, thus as well as the above thing on discovering the same link, I'm not that worried if some of the links I get from you I don't mark as such, due to forgetting, or having the tab open so long I don't know where I got it from.

Funny - I was walking past the Caltongate site yesterday and was thinking what a waste is was to have the site sitting empty.

I think I'm pleased that some one is planning to do something with it. I'll be interested to see what the plans are.
