Date: 2011-11-06 12:21 am (UTC)Aside, Starlings are a red listed bird (pdf) due to declines in the UK breeding population of more than 50% in the past 25 years. I remember my dad taking me to Newcastle city centre in the Autumn evenings when I was very young to see the murmuration over Northumberland Street and the City library, I severely doubt there's many starlings left there now.
