Yes, I can imagine the banks are absolutely crapping themselves at the thought of Greece defaulting. Because if Greece do it, Ireland will do it, Iceland will do it, Portugal will do it. Spain might do it. And then every major bank that loaned billions of pounds to countries that realistically could never afford to pay it back, will collapse.
