You see, I dont understand how a 'journalist' being caught cribbing a wiki article doesn't amount to grounds for instant dismissal. But I guess it must be what they're all doing these days.

Comets are much easier to make than planets!

> NIC.ly have suddenly decided that <4 letter .ly domains should only be available to local Libyans

Actually that seems perfectly sensible to me. If your site is not specifically Libyan, fuck off out of the .ly TLD.

I wonder if they will come to a similar decision with the Tuvalu TLD. I can think of a number of television stations that use a .tv domain.

I remember there was a similar decision taken a while back for the Christmas Island domain. Their motivation was to get rid of the goatse.cx website as far as I can remember.

Last I heard Tuvalu was happy to rake in the cash... ;)

And what about the Cook Islands? I'd love to be a business there.

They are. Although I did manage to make a relatively stable binary-star system with three or four slightly-elliptical orbit planets (and two that were wildly out of control when they passed between the binary pair :)

Unfortunately the whole thing was prone to a little precession and the system as a whole just drifted....

Tuvalu is ecstatic to have the money.

Wow. I had no idea they used the co.ck SLD. That's superbly funny.

But it might break the twenty billion bit.ly links already in existence in write-only places. This is not good for the web as a whole.

Kindle better for books, iPad better for browsing short articles.

Which is exactly why I just bought a Kindle versus an iPad, and why I just had to order another for the other half!

It is very funny though. Like when that Twitter re-broadcast 'service' expired due to duff hardware and no DR plan.

(And I am fully aware that in writing that I have cursed myself to Interesting Times tomorrow.)

If you like Alexander Skarsgard, then watch Generation Kill. He is the coolest man alive in that show (and the show is great)

Also he's all buffed up, if that's your thing.

You should forward that email thing around as a chain email. The irony would be exquisite.
