Date: 2010-09-05 03:49 pm (UTC)The EFF talk about the patent as if it enables them to do these things, that's just classic scaremongering - anyone could do any of these things now, the patent (if it were a good implementable idea, which this clearly isn't) would just mean that only Apple could do it (well, other people would have to license such use from them).

Apple's patent: to the best of my [not very] awareness, the FBI can already pretty much do that. Without warrant. Not that I think Apple's patent is a good idea [I don't], just sayin
