The Big Society exists, just not where the Tories want

I'm again struck by the fact that while your conservatives are clearly less insane than ours, but they are no less vile. That sort of libertarian/conservative PoV definitely an ideology that the planet and everyone on it would be better off without.

Scotland is pretty progressive with marriage. Jules and I were able to get married in a pagan ceremony - something not possible anywhere else in the UK, and only in very few other places in the world.

I'm glad to see it get progressiver.

Cracked seemed to have pretty much nailed Prog to a tee until they mentioned Rammstein, an industrial metal band with barely a song over 5 minutes* and always in 4/4. What on earth are they doing in that article?

Ah Cracked, you were doing so well at the "it's funny cos it's true" until you revealed that you actually have no idea what you're talking about and have almost certainly assembled the article from a mix of Wikipedia, stereotyping and Google image search rather than knowledge.

The one exception being Seeman which is just DULL!

Yeah, it was an interesting mention, that - particularly given that the article seemed to have a tone of genuine fondness to it, making me think that whoever wrote it was a Prog fan, and yet a couple of the bands they cited were a bit 'what?'

'Tis strange. Good enough for a repost mind you as you'll have seen, heh.
