Buddhism (an ancient sub-set of Hinduism) isn't a common religion in Inda any more, it doesn't consider Buddha to be God (or even a God), and I haven't observed prostration as being part of the prayer/appeal ritual. But then, I haven't observed many Christians' prayers being answered favorably (as far as this can be detected in Real World terms), either.
Hopefully natural selection will mean they extinguish themselves over a few hundred years - assuming they don't precipitate their rapture before then and fuck up things for everyone.
