Gratitude post

Today I went from "relaxing in the bath" to "at the bus stop with two fully dressed children and their swimming lesson gear" in 12 minutes.

In related news Jane is the best wife in the world and I am delighted I don't have to raise children without her.

(I haven't been making use of our new bath because I never feel like I have the time. This morning she ran the bath and then told me that she was going to look after the kids while I got into it. And it was clearly far too relaxing because I completely lost track of the time!)

Yes, YES, The child is out!

At Jane's suggestion Sophia (6) just made her first solo trip to the shop. It was nerve-wracking, but she survived just fine, and is currently upstairs demanding that Jane think of other things that she can go and buy us.

She was out of sight for nearly 4 minutes and I managed to not have a panic attack. Go us!
