Tired. A variety of reasons meant that the last week was a tad stressful - thanfully it's all cleared up now, but the combination of stress wearing off and having to be in work early to support Jason (who I'm mentoring) has meant that I was so tired last night that I had a constant headache, and that today I'm just wiped out. I put up a pitiful showing at badminton, and then sat around at Julie's flat doing my best slack-jawed yokel impression as she packed.

We're off to Kent tomorrow, for the wedding of Ravs - the person I've known longest that I'm still in any kind of contact with (excepting family). We're not in that much contact any more, but still clearly enought to get invited to the wedding - he was unofficially made into the fourth of the Ducker children - we even had him to family events a few times - and my parents have seen him and spoken to him more than I have in the last year or two - they've met his fiance (which I haven't) and Mum is doing a reading at the service.

Anyway, Julie and I are heading down half a day early so I can show her around the place I grew up. The family home has been sealed since the parents retired out to Devon, waiting for someone to buy it, but it's being opened up for cleaners to get in tomorrow, so I can show her around the place I lived from 11-18/22 (depending on whether you count university). Then off to Rainham, to show her the school/town and then to Rochester, to look at Charles Dicken's home and take in Rochester Castle (a splendid example of castleness, which I recommend to all of you).

And then the wedding on Saturday, family time on Sunday morning/afternoon, and then travel back up in the evening. I hope to fit in a very good night's sleep _somewhere_ in there.
