Goth Dancing

Guybles has a fab pic demonstrating Goth Dancing here.

By strange coincidence I also came across the video of Skinny Puppy's "Pro-Test" - which has goths break-dancing here (quicktime).

It also had this comment attached:

"Stan: Listen, there's a dance competition this Saturday and I need good dancers so I don't get served.

Red Goth: [flips his hair back] No way. Dancing is something you do alone in your room at three in the morning.

Stan: [walks up to the red Goth] Please, you guys, our whole town's reputation is at stake! Will any of you do it?

Red Goth: I'm not doin' it. Being in a dance group is totally conformist.

Henrietta: Yeah. I'm not conforming to some dance-off regulations.

Little Goth: I'm not doin' it either. I'm the biggest nonconformist of all.

Tall Goth: I'm such a nonconformist that I'm not going to conform with the rest of you. Okay, I'll do it. [rises and walks over to Stan]

Stan: Great! [they leave together]

Henrietta: Whoa. I think we just got put in our place.

Red Goth: Yeah. We just got Goth-served."

Now I'd better go find some breakfast...

Noodles, Broken Flowers and

I have just had some Chicken & Herb Noodles.  They were lovely.

Earlier I went to see "Broken Flowers", which you will like if you liked "Lost in Translation" and not if you didn't.  Nothing very much happens, but there are some amusing moments and the movie is clearly saying something about meaning, but I'm going to write a whole huge post about that, inspired by various things (including this post coalescent pointed me at about the problems with Story in TV, focussing on Lost and The X-Files).

Now to get some stuff done around the flat so it's not an irretrievable mess when Ed gets back tomorrow...
